This event happens around the same time as the seizing of Simon's wife - just before the Gadarene Swine parallel - and after a speech by Jesus the high priest (also paralleled in sequence by the gospels).
I guess the Son of Man part should be interpreted as God (Vespasian) had sent him to Jerusalem after having doomed the city to destruction, hence Titus has nowhere to lay his head/rest/sleep - but must destroy the various factions who hide in their nests and holes like sitting ducks. Titus is not present, but this is like a warm-up so to speak.
