Did the Russians steal Hillary's data and give it to Wikileaks, or was it some combination of Seth Rich and/or Manafort's Ukrainian friends;
This was a misleading statement on my part, and I need to correct it. The Ukrainians that hacked the DNC computers (according to research by George Eliason, which I discussed here) were associated with the pro-European neo-Nazi Ukrainian government that took control from Yanukovych in 2014. These Ukrainian hackers were not affiliated with Manafort, nor in any way pro-Russian. Manafort's "Ukrainian friends" were in the Yanukovych government, and they were trying to fence-straddle and maintain good relations with both Russia and the EU.

Oleg Deripaska, for one, is a Russian, close to Putin. Did Manafort owe millions to Deripaska or not? Did Deripaska take pressure off Manafort once Manafort became Trump's campaign manager? Did Manafort get the Republican platform on Russia changed or not? Was Manafort, like Stone, a long time associate of Trump, even owning a condo in Trump Tower, but they all said that Manafort had to be introduced to Trump, or not?
Yes, all of this did happen, and I agree that Manafort lost a lot of money for Deripaska, and has been subject to pressure from Deripaska as a result. It's open for debate how close Deripaska is to Putin, or how Manafort's debt to Deripaska translates into a debt from Trump to Putin, or even whether Deripaska has ever succeeded in collecting on Manafort's debt. Trump may have supported sanctions relief for Russia, because an improved business climate in Russia would have benefitted the value of Trump's investments in Russia, as well as helping his Russian clients who own real estate in Trump buildings in the US.

And, Sweden and Britain are both American puppet states. If Trump (and/or his deep state masters) wanted Assange set free, it would be done in a moment.
Quite likely.
Yes, there has been some discussion about Trump's wall, and his tax returns, and his staff turnover.
There are scandals around nearly every corner, in nearly every department of the federal government and the Trump Org.

As for Cohen, I should also note, which I don't think I have before, that in his House Oversight Committee testimony he did continue the narrative that one aspect (I can't remember which) of his interaction with Trump was based upon Trump's supposed belief that he would not win the election. As I've discussed before, I don't think that this narrative can hold water, because:

As has been documented, Trump began his interest in becoming president back in the 1980's, curiously during the same time frame that he made his first business adventure to Russia, then the USSR. This should be noted in context with his associations, back in the same 'days', with Roy Cohn, Dick Nixon, Henry Kissinger, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, etc., a literal cabal of Machiavellian operators. The USSR had enabled the emigration of Soviet Jews, who mostly went to Israel, NYC, and LA, among them such as Felix Sater. Of whom further links Trump and Putin, and organized crime in both countries. Sater got Ivanka permission to sit in Putin's chair in the Kremlin, while somewhere in this odd mashup Putin was dating Rupert Murdoch's ex, Wendy Deng, also conveniently Ivanka's BFF.

But, nothing to see here. Especially the 'other' web of links to such as Georgetown, e.g. Bannon. "Crooked shepherds".

BTW, the Jesuit's Fordham U did confirm that Michael Cohen had indeed pressured them not to release Trump's academic records, while a contemporaneous newspaper account omits Trump from the printed Dean's List of his class at U Penn's Wharton Business School.

things have gone so badly awry for Trump's coup in Venezuela, that now Justin Raimondo can argue with a straight face that Trump planned the entire fiasco just to "stick the neocons with a well-publicized failure." Or maybe Trump did do it entirely for Putin's benefit, who knows. But Bolton and Abrams are still in their places, Trump looks like Fool #1 in the play, and the war's not over yet.
In Venezuela news: Trump's "special envoy", Elliot Abrams, is crowing that a massive blackout occurred on Friday, sending approx. 96% of the country into darkness. Abrams blames the blackout on "plunder" of the country's infrastructure by the Maduro regime., who reported the incident based on loss of Internet connectivity, speculated that the Maduro government was indeed responsible, and with the specific goal of undermining Guaido's public protests scheduled for this weekend:

Venezuela had been expected to hold some of its largest protests on Saturday after interim president Juan Guaidó called citizens to the streets through social media, which were met with a 20-hour block of YouTube by state-run internet provider ABA CANTV (AS8048). Media coverage emerging from Venezuela on Saturday immediately prior to the new outage showed a strong response from state police against the public assemblies. ... During previous network and power outages, concerns were raised about attacks and military activity, and the risk of human rights violations perpetrated under the cover of darkness.

But Maduro's government themselves blamed the US, and said they have the evidence to prove it.

Blame game
Guaido has criticized the government for mismanaging the country's energy supply, while Maduro blamed the power outage on the US and the opposition. The embattled acting president said the massive blackout was planned and an act of "sabotage."
"Sabotage is stealing money from Venezuelans. Sabotage is burning food and medicine. Sabotage is stealing elections," Guaido wrote on Twitter. The interim president met with supporters on Friday at a small rally to mark International Women's Day.
Government officials said the massive Guri Dam, which supplies 80 percent of the country's electricity, was the source of the power outage. The government said the dam was damaged by a cyberattack.
"We will once again defeat this electrical sabotage. We are going to recover this important service for the population," Vice President Delcy Rodriguez said on state television.
Communications Minister Jorge Rodriguez said Maduro's government planned to bring "proof" of US involvement in the blackout to a UN Human Rights envoy who is set to visit the country in the coming days.

Reviewing the incident, the blogger Moon of Alabama reviewed other instances of US cyber-sabotage, and finds Maduro's accusations plausible based on historical incidents; although of course one would have to review Rodriguez's "proof" before reaching any conclusions.

It is quite possible that the U.S. is causing the outages in Venezuela's network. The second total outage yesterday and the third today could be explained by a malware hidden within the control system of the whole network or in some important side components. It took the Iranian government months to find the malware that again and again crashed its uranium centrifuges. Simply restarting the control systems did not help.
The U.S. is well know for cyberattacks as well as for attacks on electricity networks. In 2012 it knocked Syria off the internet when it 'bricked' the central router in Syria while attempting to install malware. In 2015 it systematically bombed Syria's power plants.
The CIA and other U.S. agencies have been quite active in Venezuela for a long time. In 2017 then CIA director Mike Pompeo admitted that he was tying to get others on board for 'regime change':
In one of the clearest clues yet about Washington’s latest meddling in the politics of Latin America, CIA director Mike Pompeo said he was “hopeful that there can be a transition in Venezuela and we the CIA is doing its best to understand the dynamic there”.
He added: “I was just down in Mexico City and in Bogota a week before last talking about this very issue, trying to help them understand the things they might do so that they can get a better outcome for their part of the world and our part of the world.”
In preparation for the 1973 coup against Allende in Chile the U.S. also caused blackouts. Back then the New York Times reported:
SANTIAGO, Chile, Aug. 13 — A power cut brought a total blackout here as President Salvador Allende Gossens was in the middle of a nationwide address on the country's political crisis.
The electricity went off at 10:15 P.M., 35 minutes after President Allende had begun to speak, citing long list of recent acts of terrorism and sabotage that he attributed to “fascist opposition.”
He went back on the air, The Associated Press reported, as power was beginning to be restored in some areas, and said that the blackout could have been either “a technically explicable failure or a fascist attack.” The news agency said that unidentified saboteurs blew up an electric‐power transmission line outside the city, attributing the information to Fernando Figueroa, general manager of the state power system.
It wasn't just the "fascist opposition" but the CIA behind it that caused the chaos:
As described in the Church Committee report, the CIA was involved in multiple plots designed to remove Allende .. [...] [T]he CIA, with the approval of the 40 Committee, attempted to bribe the Chilean legislature, tried to influence public opinion against Allende, and provided funding to strikes designed to coerce him into resigning. [...] In addition, the CIA gave extensive support for black propaganda against Allende, channeled mostly through El Mercurio. Financial assistance was also given to Allende's political opponents, and for organizing strikes and unrest to destabilize the government.
On February 24, after the 'humanitarian aid' stunt at the Colombian border failed, we foresawthat such incidents would happen:
U.S. Vice President Mike Pence will arrive in Colombia tomorrow to tell Guaido how to proceed. The focus will most likely be on how to start a sabotage campaign and a low level guerrilla war within Venezuela. Both will certainly hurt the country and its people but they are unlikely to achieve the larger "regime change" aim.
A U.S. cyberattack on Venezuela's power grid will have taken some time to implement. One first has to understand a system before one can sabotage it without leaving obvious fingerprints. If the U.S. is involved in these incidents, it is likely that it prepared for this months if not years ago.
Attacks on electricity networks affect the civilian population. Hospitals are hard to run without electricity. Lives are endangered. Both , the Obama and the Trump administration, rejected international attempts to ban cyberattacks that "indiscriminate or systemic harm to individuals and critical infrastructure":
All members of the European Union signed the agreement. Australia and Turkey joined the United States in declining.
Israel, which along with the United States conducted the most sophisticated cyberattack in history, the Stuxnet attack on Iran’s nuclear enrichment program, also declined to sign.
The U.S. also rejected an agreement that would ban cyber manipulation of elections. The given reasons are of interest:
[T]he United States has interfered in foreign elections before, including Italy in the 1940s and Iran and Latin America in the 1950s and 1960s, and some officials say that no American president should be forced to give up that tool if it could prevent a war.
Similarly, the Pentagon worries about commitments to avoid using cyberattacks as a prelude to military action. The United States had a secret program, code-named “Nitro Zeus,” which called for turning off the power grid in much of Iran if the two countries had found themselves in a conflict over Iran’s nuclear program. Such a use of cyberweapons is now a key element in war planning by all of the major world powers.

RT yesterday reported that the Head of the Defense Committee for the Russian Duma and three-star General, Vladimir Shamanov, speaking to an assembled delegation of military attaches from 90 countries, compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler. He said that Hitler began all-out preparations for world war within two years after assuming power, and now Trump is doing the same. “Trump has been at the helm for two years, and we see the parallels,” he said.

Shamanov also reportedly warned all non-nuclear nations present, that they should not host US-led nuclear weapons drills, if they want to be treated as neutral parties in the event of a future nuclear exchange between the US and Russia. He indicated that the Russians would have to assume that all such US allies might be harboring secret nuclear weapons arsenals.

Also, Dmitry Orlov's recent article in which he revealed that Putin had compared the NATO alliance to an ensemble of squealing pigs, has come out from behind the paywall and appeared at the Off-Guardian, via Russia Insider.

Perhaps the public bromance between Putin and Trump is cooling somewhat? Not that I see there's ever been much substance behind this mass media trope.

The following excerpt is from a long article in Politico discussing the work of an evangelical group, Telos, actually trying to build peaceful bridges across the Israeli-Palestinian divide. I am cross-posting another excerpt to my Futurist Apocalypse thread here. The article discusses that Telos's work is made somewhat harder because of the fact that a major donor is George Soros's Open Borders project.

Not discussed is that Trump is trying to fan more flames by claiming that the Democratic Party hates Jews, possibly part of his 2020 re-election strategy, which motivations have become more desperate, as one means to help stay out of prison. The claim is patently ridiculous as Jews are rather well represented in the Democratic Party, and American Jews seem to show some hesitance on hardline policies regarding Israel. But, just as with most matters, it is Trump's base which must be appeased at whatever cost.

Pro-Israel evangelicals are enjoying outsized influence in the Trump administration. In July 2017, Mike Pence became the first sitting vice president to address CUFI, founded in 2006 by Hagee, whose apocalyptic rhetoric kept other administrations at a distance. Hagee often uses vivid charts at his Cornerstone Church in San Antonio to show how events in the Middle East—and around the world—were foretold in the Bible. Hagee and like-minded Christian conservatives point to Genesis 12:3, in which God tells Abraham, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.” (In 2008, John McCain refused Hagee’s backing when audio surfaced of a sermon in which Hagee claimed God used Hitler and the Holocaust to get the Jews to move back to Israel.)
In his speech to CUFI, Pence cast himself as a kindred spirit. “To look at Israel is to see that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob keeps his promises,” he said. “Like all of you, my passion for Israel springs from my Christian faith.”
Last year, when the Trump administration moved the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem — fulfilling a promise several American presidents had failed to keep for fear of how the Arab world might react — Hagee was on hand as an invited guest of the White House. “Can we all shout ‘Hallelujah?’” Hagee said at the end of a benediction at the opening of the embassy. “Amen.”
Pence’s cultivation of evangelicals like Hagee springs not just from raw political calculation, but also a shared view that Israel’s rise is somehow God’s plan. In the LifeWay survey, the most recent of its kind, 80 percent of evangelicals said that “the rebirth of Israel in 1948 was a fulfillment of biblical prophecy.”

The excerpt discusses such as Hagee's reliance on OT passages as Genesis 12:3 that, here, mentions God's blessing to Abraham and his offspring. What Hagee and his ilk selectively neglect to inform their sheep is that, according to the same Bible, at some point the offspring of Esau (the red-headed Edomites like the Herodians and the elite, 'Sabine' Romans) will regain the blessing of Abraham -- that had been stolen from Esau by his twin brother, Jacob.

And, ironically, I do interpret the Hitler phenomenon in the same light as Hagee, only that I believe that specific 'human agency' that manipulate human events, under the presumed imprimatur of their 'God' is responsible, fulfilling the 'script' within a Futurist eschatological interpretation. Here making such as Hagee either 'useful idiot' and/or a propagandic whore.
AIPAC declined an interview for this story, directing me to CUFI. But AIPAC has made outreach to Christians a priority of its advocacy work, a reflection of the growing role evangelicals are playing in shaping the U.S. approach to Israel. According to the group’s website, “AIPAC seeks to identify pro-Israel Christian leaders in districts with large evangelical populations, encourage their involvement in pro-Israel advocacy among their communities.”

That has proved a fertile ground: A March 2013 Pew survey found that 72 percent of white evangelicals supported Israel in the conflict, with only 4 percent siding with Palestinians. And a majority of white evangelicals—82 percent—say God gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people, while only 40 percent of American Jews share that view, according to Pew.
When it comes to resolving the Middle Eastern conflict, the LifeWay poll found a schism: 23 percent of evangelicals suggest that Israel “should sign a treaty allowing Palestinians to have a sovereign state in the West Bank and Gaza,” while 31 percent disagree and 46 percent are unsure. There’s a generational divide, too, on caring for Palestinians. Two-thirds of younger evangelicals says Christians have a responsibility to do more. But only 54 percent of those 65 and older agree. ...

After Paul Manafort received his second sentencing this week he was immediately hit with charges from the Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.. The following excerpt is from an article in Slate arguing that these state charges will likely fail under the various legal arcana of double jeopardy. Which begs the question of why the charges are being brought by Cy Vance Jr. in the first place. The narrative has been for some time that state charges would defeat Agent Orange's attempts to insulate himself via the granting of pardons to his various cronies.

But here we must look into the prior actions of Cyrus Vance Jr. regarding the Trump family (and Harvey Weinstein as well). As is, it might appear that Vance is providing Agent Orange yet another pretext to inflame his base, that he is indeed being persecuted by the Deep State.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson completed her sentencing of Paul Manafort for federal charges earlier this week, and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office wasted no time indicting the former Trump campaign chairman on 16 additional counts for state crimes. The indictment seemed calculated to prevent Donald Trump from letting a potential confederate off the hook with a presidential pardon, while the timing allowed for the federal prosecution to fully conclude. (I have been suggesting this state-action backup strategy in Slate since July 2017.) District Attorney Cyrus Vance was quickly showered with praise (including, initially, from me). After more closely reading the indictment, though, most of the charges seem to violate New York’s double jeopardy law.
In ignoring the spirit, and possibly the letter, of these double jeopardy provisions, Wednesday’s state charges could result in a damaging setback for New York’s civil liberties and the rule of law.
At least nine, but probably 11 or 12, of the 16 counts seem to substantially overlap with Manafort’s federal conviction in August for defrauding Citizens Bank, leaving just four or five more minor charges pertaining to his involvement with a second bank. It’s unclear whether “Lender #1” in many of Vance’s charges is Citizens Bank, but it sure looks like those charges are related to the Citizens Bank loan. Whether “Lender #1” is Citizens Bank or another bank assisting the same loan, it seems like Vance is trying to prosecute Manafort for the same transaction and the same basic offense for which he was already convicted. (The New York County District Attorney’s office declined to provide comment on the case.) ...

I thought I had discussed this aspect of Cyrus Vance Jr. before, this relating to the Trump SoHo project. Maybe the mention of Vance is buried in one of the embedded links that I have excerpts that I've provided in the three posts about Trump SoHo on this same thread. Long story short is that Vance declined to prosecute Ivanka and Don Jr. for real estate fraud. Is he doing them yet another solid?

Here's another excerpted story from October 2017 about this topic:

Add Cy Vance to the Trump family’s personal chickenshit club.
That’s the title of journalist Jesse Eisenger’s book about the federal prosecutors who let the bankers who blew up the American economy in 2008 off the hook. His New Yorker bombshell on Wednesday—written with his ProPublica colleague Justin Elliott and WNYC’s Andrea Bernstein and Ilya Marritz—showed money talking and Trumps walking in Manhattan as the well-compensated Manhattan DA found a way to see no evil.
That happened in 2013, when Vance—up for reelection—overruled his own prosecutors on the Major Economic Crimes Bureau and dropped a criminal probe of Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr., even as his office seemed to have them dead to rights for misleading potential buyers of Trump SoHo condos. That project verged on collapse when units hit the market just after the economy fell off of a cliff in 2008. The DA’s office had emails, one person who’d seen them told the magazine, with the Trump kids desperate to salvage the project discussing how to coordinate their fraudulent statements to potential buyers—and Junior even assuring a broker, who was in on the reported hustle, that no one outside of the email chain and the Trump Organization would ever know about it.
But Vance dropped the case just after returning a $25,000 contribution from Donald J. Trump’s personal attorney, Marc Kasowitz. In 2009, one of his colleagues at Kasowitz Benson Torres & Friedman had run against Vance, and the firm had sent $300,000 to her campaign. After a $25,000 contribution in 2012 to Vance, bygones were bygones and Kasowitz soon had a meeting with the new DA himself to discuss the Trump SoHo case. That came days after his check was returned, which Vance told the magazine is his office’s standard procedure when a donor has a case before it. In any event, Vance said, the big give had “no influence whatsoever on my decision-making in the case”—which was already in the works when Kasowitz cut it.
Three months after Trump’s attorney “simply repeated the arguments that the other defense lawyers had been making for months,” according to the New Yorker report, the case against the kids was dead, and six months after that Kasowitz—who says his gift had nothing to do with the case that he asked Vance to drop, but came because he was “extremely impressed by him as a person of impeccable integrity”—gave the D.A. an additional $50,000. ...

Also, the following seems pretty telling as to what Cy Vance Jr. is all about:

In 2009, Abacus Federal Savings Bank self-reported a mortgage fraud committed by an ex-employee to its regulators. Ironically, it led Cyrus Vance's office to later accuse the bank itself of mortgage fraud. In an effort at grandstanding, Vance's office orchestrated a show by parading ex-employees of the bank in a chain, handcuffed to each other, in front of reporters. Vance stated in an interview that the decision to exhibit the non-violent ex-employees was due to "security issues".[51] After Vance very publicly staged this accusation and spent five years and reportedly $10 million on prosecuting the bank for larceny, the bank and its employees were found not guilty on all 80 charges.
Despite its small size, the Chinese-American family-run bank was the only New York bank so charged during the Great Recession, despite Vance admitting that Citibank, among others, had behaved badly. The story was covered in Steve James' feature-length documentary, Abacus: Small Enough to Jail, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2016,[52] was broadcast on PBS Frontline in 2017, and was nominated for an Oscar.[51][53]

Junior Vance is yet another Georgetown alum. This, while his father was highly connected as Kennedy and Johnson's Sec Army and Carter's Sec State:

In 1993, Vance was awarded the United States Military Academy's Sylvanus Thayer Award. In 1995 he again acted as Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and signed the interim accord as witness in the negotiations between the Republic of Macedonia and Greece. Vance was a member of the Trilateral Commission.[1] Vance also served on the board of directors of IBM, Pan American World Airways, Manufacturers Hanover Trust, U.S. Steel, and The New York Times, as a trustee of the Yale Corporation, as Chairman of the Board of the Rockefeller Foundation, and Vice Chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations.[1]

Don Jr. has condemned the President of the United States of America in coming to the defense of Chelsea Clinton, after she was accused of inciting the mosque shootings in New Zealand. This, from her criticism of new Democratic Congresswoman, Ilhan Omar, who never said anything anti-Semitic, but instead criticized policy regarding Israel and asking for more dialogue about the same. Omar's actions are actually pro-Semitic, if one considers the incitement of peace promoting dialogue in the interests of Semitic Arabs and Semitic Jews (few that there are - relative to the majority Ashkenazim Turko-Slav Jews - aka 'Gomers').

Here is what launched the Omar controversy in the first place:

On February 27, 2019, Omar spoke at a bookstore and said of her critics, "I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country." The statements were quickly criticized as allegedly drawing on anti-Semitic tropes of dual loyalty. House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Eliot Engel said it was "deeply offensive to call into question the loyalty of fellow American citizens" and asked Omar to retract her statement.[79] House Appropriations Committee chairwoman Nita Lowey also called for an apology and criticized the statements in a March 3 tweet, which led to an online exchange between the two. In response, Omar reaffirmed her remarks, insisting that she "should not be expected to have allegiance/pledge support to a foreign country in order to serve my country in Congress or serve on committee."[80][81] Omar's spokesman, Jeremy Slevin, said Omar was speaking out about “the undue influence of lobbying groups for foreign interests.”[82]
Senators Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and Bernie Sanders defended Omar against the backlash her comments brought on. Sanders said the criticism and efforts to remove Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee were "aimed at stopping a discussion about American's foreign policy toward Israel."[83] Senator Cory Booker, meanwhile, regarded her statements as disturbing.[84] Some members of the Black Caucus believed Omar was unfairly targeted because she is a black Muslim, noting that "the Democratic leadership did not draft a resolution condemning Donald Trump or other white male Republicans over their antisemitic remarks."[85] The second round of remarks prompted the Democratic leadership to introduce a resolution condemning antisemitism but without naming Omar. Following objections from a number of congressional progressive Democrats, the resolution was amended to include Islamophobia, racism, and homophobia,[86] and on March 7 the House passed the amended resolution. Omar called the resolution "historic on many fronts" and said, “We are tremendously proud to be part of a body that has put forth a condemnation of all forms of bigotry including anti-Semitism, racism, and white supremacy."[87]

Bernie Sanders, of course, is Jewish, and there are plenty of American, and even Israeli Jews, who have issues with such American and Israeli policies.

Despite the close family relationships and common pubic behaviors of the Trumps and Clintons, there is no truth to the rumor that Don Jr. and Chelsea are half-siblings. "You say tomato, and I say tomatoe". Whatever, Bubba Clinton is yet another Georgetown alum, of which Agent Orange seems to prefer in his administration. Those alums and Goldman Sachs alums, of which Hillary made a ton of money from.

Here is the Tweet that got Chelsea in trouble:

The following is a reply to Chelsea, pointing out her Clintonian and Trumpesque hypocrisy:
For a little more context:

In a since-deleted tweet, Omar suggested that politicians only support Israel because of donations from wealthy Jewish people. Clinton called out the freshman Democrat for allegedly trafficking in anti-Semitism. “We should expect all elected officials, regardless of party, and all public figures to not traffic in anti-Semitism,” Clinton tweeted. ...

To be fair to Agent Orange and Jared Kushner, the Prince of Piece, they also arrange American policy, towards Saudia Arabia, based upon large inflows of Saudi cash to themselves, such as the bailing out 666 Fifth Avenue and lavish 'stays' at Trump's Washington D.C. hotel, among other things.

The following clip has Bill Maher lampooning Trump and Trumpkin evangelicals over their claiming that Trump is the new Biblical Cyrus, or as Maher has it, Bully Idol. It has a nice compilation of evangelical leaders making this claim. I believe that I have mentioned this equation, in addition to the Samson equation. It is always good to remember as well that the Bible claims that the first Persian emperor, Cyrus, was also the Jews' first messiah.

Ironically, I do grant some credence to the biblical claims, the invoked Isaiah 45 verses do have a globalist subtext in granting Cyrus being this 'savior'. In the respective manners that I have highlighted in the text of Isaiah 45 Trump (45) is akin to Cyrus. Verse 14 also curiously mentions the Sabeans, fellow "Peoples of the Book" in the Quran, their offshoots being the Sabine Romans.

Here's Isaiah 45:
God Calls Cyrus
1Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
2I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
3And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
4For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
5I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
6That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
7I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
8Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.
9Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
10Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?
11Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.
12I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
13I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

The Lord will Save
14Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.
15Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
16They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.
17But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
18For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
19I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
20Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
21Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
22Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
23I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
24Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
25In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what Trump 45 has to do with this flap.

I agree that Ilhan Omar's remarks were not anti-semitic, but I also believe that her critics' remarks were not intentionally anti-Islamic. It's over-the-top political correctness to blame Chelsea Clinton for the mosque shootings in New Zealand.

But has Donald Sr. had anything at all to say about this? If so, I can't find it.

Perhaps you're conflating posts Jerry. Trump 45 was mentioned by the evangelicals as being connected to Isaiah 45.

Or, perhaps you didn't get my yellow highlight that Don Jr. is condemning "all forms of hate", meaning he is condemning his father, albeit he himself may indeed be too much of a dimwit to understand what he did. Or maybe he used the qualifier "should all" instead of saying "I condemn" to weasel out. And Agent Orange is only being hateful in performing his role, except that is, when he is acting as a landlord and such.

I agree that Ilhan Omar's remarks were not anti-semitic, but I also believe that her critics' remarks were not intentionally anti-Islamic. It's over-the-top political correctness to blame Chelsea Clinton for the mosque shootings in New Zealand.
Her critics were indeed being 'politically' opportunistic however, so "politically incorrect". Albeit that a few of them, like Chelsea perhaps, were merely being intellectually lazy, lashing out at Omar's perceived anti-Semitism. This is a common means of shutting down political opposition, whether one is talking abut Zionism or some other issue. Chelsea's mom, did have as a top aide, Huma Abedin, a Muslim of Indian descent.

It has been commented upon that Bush 43's comments about Islam not being about terrorism caused terror incidents against Islamic people to go down. This while the same statistics regarding Trump are compatible in the opposite direction. And then there is the following phenomenon, separate from the targeted messaging by such as Cambridge Analytica.

The following is a a TED Talk by Zeynep Tufecki discussing how such as Facebook and Google algorithms are polarizing the electorate, in this case referring white supremacist videos to those who watch such as Trump campaign rallies. As she states, such algorithms, which we cannot see, are supposedly politically neutral, yet they are referring people to ever more extreme positions.

At just before 9 minutes in she states:

It's what algorithms do. It picks up on what you have watched and what people like you have watched and infers that that must be what you're interested in. What you want mor of and just shows you more sounds like a benign and useful future except when it isn't so. In 2016 I attended rallies of van candidate Donald Trump to study as a scholar the movement supporting him. I studied social movements, so I was studying it too. And then I wanted to write something about one of his rallies. I watch it a few times on YouTube. YouTube started recommending to me and auto-playing to me white supremacist videos in increasing order of extremism. If I watched one, it served up one even more extreme and autoplay that one too. If you watch Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders content, YouTube recommends and autoplays conspiracy left, and it goes downhill from there. Well you might be thinking this is politics but it's not. This isn't about politics it's just the algorithm figuring out human behavior.

23 minutes long:

Incidentally, Tufecki said the following at just before 12 minutes in:

... and it wasn't even expensive. The public reporter spent about $30 to target this category, um, so last year Donald Trump's social media manager disclosed that they were using Facebook dark posts to demobilize people. Not to persuade them, but to convince them not to vote at all. And to do that they targeted specifically for example African-American men in key cities like Philadelphia. And I'm gonna read exactly what he said. I'm quoting they were using quote non public posts whose viewership the campaign controls so that only the people we want to see it CA[?]. We model this it will dramatically affect her ability to turn out turn these people out. What's in those dark posts we have no idea, Facebook won't tell us. So Facebook also algorithmically arranges the posts that your friends put on Facebook or the pages you follow. It doesn't show you everything chronologically, it puts the order the in the way that the algorithm thinks will entice you to stay on the site longer.

Of course, we know that the Trump campaign, using the same social media manager, used Cambridge Analytica (with help from Facebook) to target such voters.

But has Donald Sr. had anything at all to say about this? If so, I can't find it.
Well Jerry, Trump did delete his Tweet linking to his fascist interview with Brietbart that I posted upon earlier, then saying that white extremism is not a problem (for him obviously), even though white terrorism is 3 times as prevalent as Islamic terrorism.

I forgot to hit the Post button on the following yesterday, and Jerry has forked this thread into one on contemporary Fascism, which has significant Trump related content.

I know it is painful for Jerry to watch the MSM, but the following clip is most interesting. The focus of the clip is Trump's latest (out of about 4 dozen) obsessive Tweet rant against John McCain, who had 'revealed' the infamous Steele Dossier to become the contentious seed of the Mueller Investigation. The first theory offered is that of Trump's personality disorders, such as "Oppositional Defiance Disorder", but then (at just before 6 minutes, it is opined that all of this is deliberate, designed to "prepare the battlefield" so-to-speak. In this case, further desensitizing the American, especially the former 'Republicans', polity, but for what. It is offered that the motivation then is to help Trump deal with the assault on his presidency, which is also a legal threat to his ability to avoid prison. Perhaps so, as it seems that despite Pelosi's assurances, the congressional Democrats are indeed preparing the way for an impeachment battle royale. In the course of this unfolding, we have seen Trump overtly prepare his paramilitary fascists to come to his defense (and d'fence), the doing so will indeed be the de facto end of the republic, if not the de jure end.

We did pass the Ides of March without getting the Mueller Report as some have opined, but this would not have been typologically correct in any case.

Yep, at four minutes in, I'm finding it completely un-watchable.

About the late John McCain, the subject of so much hero worship from these 'liberal' talking heads, I can't do any better than to quote Caitlin Johnstone:

If everyone could be forced Clockwork Orange-style to look at all the death, destruction and suffering that John McCain has helped inflict upon our species, they would feel nothing but relief upon his departing from this world. It is only the aforementioned power to dissociate and compartmentalize which enables people to spew nonsense about McCain being a hero and a good man.
It is this pocket of compartmentalization that we are being bullied into by establishment loyalists who demand solemn reverence for this unforgivable monster simply because his time here is almost up. They are doing this because it benefits and protects them. The ability of the servants of empire to proudly show their faces in public after helping to ensure the deaths of countless thousands of human beings is absolutely essential for the survival of the Orwellian oligarchy which rules over us. If we could see these murderous beasts for what they truly are, the illusion would be shattered and we’d never consent to being ruled by a system which empowers them.
To truly see John McCain for what he is and what he has done is to see the face of the oppression machine that rank-and-file Americans have been manipulated into supporting. The empire which spends medicine money on bombs overseas and insists on an economic system that is propped up with the barrel of a gun depends on keeping its most hands-on servants normalized and celebrated. Mainstream Americans seeing McCain clearly will also be seeing themselves and what they’ve been duped into consenting to. Rejecting this illusion and pissing on McCain’s grave is a direct act of rebellion against the oppressive, war profiteering oligarchs and their allied defense and intelligence agencies.
The reason the US-centralized war machine is able to get away with unleashing unspeakable horror after unspeakable horror upon our world is because that war machine has become normalized and celebrated. So it is therefore our duty to call John McCain the wicked witch that he is and celebrate like munchkins when he dies.
For sure, Johnstone caught a lot of flack for saying that. And even for the worst of war criminals, I would think it possible to pause for a moment and respect their passing. But he's been gone for almost a year now, and it's time for the hero worshipping revisionism to stop.

Trump's tweet that is causing the talking heads so much consternation, is this one:

The talking heads at MSNBC assure us that it's all lies. So let's check it out. McCain was not "last in his class": he beat out 4 other students, although still mired in the bottom 5%. So the "fact checkers" are chalking up another lie for Trump. Seriously?

Let's move on... Did McCain give the "Fake Dossier" to the FBI and the media? Actually, McCain himself gave it to the FBI, while his staffer David Krane gave the Dossier to Buzzfeed. Another Trump lie? Or, was McCain lying when he "strenuously denied" that he was the source of the leak?

Was Trump lying when he called this a "Fake Dossier"? To this day, there's no proof of the more salacious allegations in the Dossier, to say the least. And, as Trump points out, most of the "Fake News" called the Dossier out for the garbage that it is.

All of this is very consistent with the pattern I've pointed out before: while Trump is guilty of enormous, factually verifiable crimes, the so-called "liberal media" lose themselves in trivialities, and come out looking like pompous assholes.

Congressional Democrats preparing for an impeachment battle royale? Spare me. Democrats are gearing up for a battle royale to get rid of Ilhan Omar. That's picking a fight with someone their size.

I'm sorry Jerry, my fault. I should have made it more clear that the point of the post, and of the clip, wasn't about the relative merits of John McCain. I thought it was obvious, from my prior postings that I have no great admiration (ironically similar to Trump) for McCain. They were about the continual obsession of Trump in ranting about the late McCain, which BTW, also points out, again, the insane, craven hypocrisy of the Trumpublicans.

No, you got lost, with my crime of omission, in the triviality of McCain facts. Again, the point that I was discussing is the issue over why Trump is doing this. Sometimes you need to allow for people to voice their own biases to allow getting to the point. And sometimes, to put oneself in the shoes, the perspective of others, so that you can get past the points of disagreement to what matters.
Congressional Democrats preparing for an impeachment battle royale? Spare me.
Yes, it "seems' that way, at least from their undertakings of oversight investigations. Will it come to pass? I don't know, but launching impeachment hearings, before the Mueller report is made available will only give Trump more ammunition.
Democrats are gearing up for a battle royale to get rid of Ilhan Omar. That's picking a fight with someone their size.
Maybe so, but this is a separate, and local, issue from that of Trump. The article says that some Dems are talking about running against her in a primary election. That's their right in our democracy so far.

You mentioned that the MSNBC talking heads attribute it to Trump's personality disorder, or to "prepare the battlefield". The latter point, I agree with. Of course he's complaining about McCain to inflame his base, and to blame Democrats for his problems, and to associate McCain with the Democratic opposition. Other Republican dissenters from the Trump cause are implicitly criticized as well.

MSNBC is also "preparing the battlefield" with the complaints about Republican perfidy in general, as well as the portrayal of Trump as a crazed liar.

But what is the battle? I don't think it's really Trump vs. Democrats, or MSNBC vs. Trump. But I'm sure you agree.

Yes, it "seems' that way, at least from their undertakings of oversight investigations.
But doesn't it 'seem' obvious that these oversight investigations are nothing but political grandstanding, pandering to the Democratic base? They won't have the motivation to take this any further.

[Re: Ilhan Omar's opponents]: That's their right in our democracy so far.
Yes, exactly. Billionaires from all over the country can send bundles of cash to anyone willing to run against Ilhan Omar. And, the billionaire mass media will package their lies about her, and repeat them until only the completely red-pilled would be able to imagine the true facts. That's how our democracy works so far.

IMHO, this is "the battle".
