In the following 2 hour discussion between Jacob Berman, Ellis, and Valliant they discuss the issues around all the Jesi of Josephus and seem to come together after Berman had diverged from Ellis previously. So it seems that Atwill, Ellis, Valliant and Berman are mostly on the same page now.

At some point there is the interesting chronology of the trips of Josephus / Paul to Rome where Josephus is there to talk to Nero (and Poppaea about naughty rabbis (re: the Temple Wall Affair), Paul vaporizes, Rome burns, and Josephus runs back to Palestine to run a parallel life to Saul, then Jerusalem and the Temple burns.
