It may be auspicious to have a Habsburg descendant of Lafayette born on the anniversary of his birth, coming from such an illustrious background, as Lafayette was baptized a Roman Catholic, and yet became an exponent of the ideals of the Enlightenment, taking a prominent part in both the American and French Revolutions, "The Hero of Two Worlds". There is also a Roman parallel in his being considered the "son" of George Washington, "The Father of His Country" (he even named his own son after him), with Augustus Caesar being considered the "son" of Julius Caesar, "The Father of His Country". Lafayette also apparently wrote the truth in plain site, as follows: "It is my opinion that if the liberties of this country (the United States) are destroyed, it will be by the subtlety of the Roman Catholic Jesuit Priests, for they are the most crafty, dangerous enemies to civil and religious liberty. They have instigated most of the wars of Europe". He supposedly wrote this in 1799, the year that his "father" George Washington had his "apotheosis", later immortalized by his fresco in the "Roman" US Capitol.Archduke Maximilian, born Sept. 6, 2019, the 262nd anniversary of the birth of his ancestor, the Marquis de Lafayette, one of whose ancestors, according to legend, acquired the "Crown of Thorns" during the Sixth Crusade.
Also, note that this present Habsburg family ancestor, the last Holy Roman Emperor Francis II, deliberately dissolved the Holy Roman Empire and gave himself a makeover as Francis I, Emperor of Austria, becoming the first "Doppelkaiser" (double emperor) in history. Would this make all of the Habsburgs since him "Romans" in disguise?
