Comments:
- Refer to Facebook as Facebag or simply The Bag (brand erosion). :p
- People should delete their Facebag account.
- Do not fall for free shiny trinkets designed to collect as much data from as possible.

Look for open source alternatives to the walled systems: Google; Apple; Facebag; Adobe; Microsoft; Yahoo etc.
There needs to be a big educational push on the part of alternative media for this.

Learn how to use search effectively.

Questions:
- Do Joe and Jerry have a Facebook account?
- If so, for what reasons do you keep it?

Sorry for not really addressing the article up for discussion, but it's a more general beef that I have with the Bag.

This is a little embarrassing, but where are the podcasts?
Do you mean, where are they located on the website? Don't be embarrassed, they're not easy to find. There's an obscure little menu tab on the wordpress homepage, which leads to this other page where the podcasts are found:

http://postflaviana.org/podcasts/

Or do you mean, why are the podcasts often delayed in posting? The recordings are made automatically by the Revolution Radio archive system, and posted a day later to their site, where they're hidden behind a paywall. I have to go and download them, edit out the commercial leader and trailer, and upload them to the website here. It's a rather boring chore, and if there are other pressing things on my agenda, it tends to get short shrift. I promise I'll upload the latest episode this morning.

One last reason that the podcasts are a little embarrassing, is that both Joe and I have some problems with cluttered speech. Ummms and ahhs, ya'know. I'm hoping that with practice, we'll get better. We like to think that the podcasts are sincere, and maybe even interesting. But there's definitely a lack of professional polish.

Thanks, Jerry. It was more the former than the latter. I have seen the podcasts discussed, and thought I was "missing" them. I guess I should add that I was under the impression that they were live, for some reason.

If you are concerned about your "ah's" and "um's," have you considered Toastmasters?

I finally got the podcast posted. Three o'clock is still morning, right?

If you are concerned about your "ah's" and "um's," have you considered Toastmasters?
I was thinking that with modern speech recognition, somebody could make a device that would detect these things in realtime, and deliver an electric shock, like a cattle prod. In my case the bad habits seem pretty ingrained, but maybe this could work.

Good show!
It is appreciated that you addressed my posts above (deleting Facebook account/not participating).
@Jerry Russell made some nice insights throughout as well.
The alternatives listed above can be used as Citizenship Hygiene.
