We have more on the origins of "dispensationalism" at our old website, http://911-strike.postflaviana.org/christian-zionists.htm

I scanned through the first ~80 minutes of the transcript. Adams seems to have the idea that apocalyptic theologizing started with Hal Lindsey and "The Late Great Planet Earth" in 1970, along with Campus Crusade for Christ and the mega-churches. I agree it took a particularly virulent turn at that time, but of course it has deeper roots.

Adams mentions Robert Schuller and the Crystal Cathedral. Schuller's church has lost control of that building, and it's been purchased by the Catholics. They're going to call it "Christ Cathedral". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_Cathedral

The program also reports that the new World Trade Tower in New York, at Ground Zero, was built in part by Bin Laden Construction. Please somebody say it isn't so.
