Britain's Second Empire, The Spider's Web

Richard Stanley

The following video discusses what Britain morphed into after the collapse of its global colonial empire, a financial empire of illicit banking networks with the 'City of London' as the hub of the web. It's arms are the various offshore remnants of the empire.

It is estimated that this web of opaque 'trust' accounts hauls in over a trillion dollars worth of "flight capital" from such as struggling third world nations and elsewhere. The draining of such capital from such countries impedes their rise from poverty, and as we've seen elswehere the resulting poverty is an environmental problem in its own right, also propelling over-population.
