Bimbo and Betty Boop

So I was confused about this. Back before Betty Boop, bimbos were men. Bimbo was Betty Boop's dog.

Now that we've cleared that up, look at the trouble Bimbo has gotten into.

Quote:

At the beginning of the cartoon, Bimbo (a good name for a non-initiate?) walks down the street without a care in the world. Suddenly, a certain cartoon character traps Bimbo down a manhole.

Bimbo then finds himself in the underground lair of a strange secret society composed of masked men with candles on their heads (symbolizing illumination?). One asks him “Wanna be a member? Wanna be a member”. When Bimbo’s answers “NO!”, he is sent to various sadistic chambers that recall the various ordeals that are imposed on new initiates in actual secret societies.

After refusing to become a member several times, the masked man reveals himself and seduces him.

It is Betty Boop! When Bimbo finally accepts Betty Boop's offer, he discovers that all of the members were Betty Boop clones, which makes him very happy. In other words, secret society initiation might be difficult and terrifying but becoming a member provides great rewards.

. Good stuff
The seduction must be really great. But money and fame is never as powerful as a beautiful woman to get you to say yes! You lose your logic when you're sexually aroused. It's the old trick of turkey hunting you set out a female and bring in the males, by calling to them that you are lost and ready to mate.

What's with all the spanking in the cartoon? These secret societies seem to be separated by gender so the non-reproductive act of submission seems apt- Fraternities have a pyramidal power structure and submission to the dominant males requires presenting, so to speak, acknowledging the levels above the initiate- Once broken in, the perks come fast and furious- Very upper crust British in that aspect- Because Masonry-
