Denouncing "The Coup" for anti-American lyrics, Michelle Malkin here sidesteps the question of how the band came up with such an uncannily accurate premonition of the terrorist attack. She stops just short of implying that somehow, "The Coup" was in communication with Bin Laden.

EVEN if you have only a passing interest in today's popular music, I urge you to pay attention to the loathsome record nominated this week by Washington Post staff writer David Segal as the "Best Album" of 2001. It's a stomach-turning example of anti-Americanism disguised as highbrow intellectual expression.
According to Segal, "Party Music" by a rap group called "The Coup" topped all other musical works produced this year. Segal praises the album's "jarring ingenuity, soul and wit." The "poetry" of lead rapper Boots Riley "dazzles." The songs are "masterfully entertaining" and "daggone funky."
Segal seems hardly bothered by the original cover art for Riley's album. The revolting photo depicted the Oakland, Calif.-based rapper and his sidekick - militant left-wing anti-capitalists -- partying in front of a doctored image of the World Trade Center being blown up. While the twin towers burn, a sneering Riley poses in the foreground with a guitar tuner being used as a bomb detonator. His sidekick, "Pam the Funkstress," stands defiantly with a conductor's baton in each hand while fireballs engulf the buildings.
The rappers posed for the picture, which Riley proudly describes as a "metaphor for the capitalist state being destroyed through the music," last spring. Days after the Sept. 11 attack on the World Trade Center, Riley's record company pulled the photo. But after paying hollow respect to the victims at Ground Zero, Riley protested Warner/Elektra's decision to abandon the cover art. A self-identified "communist" and son of a Black Panther lawyer, Riley says he wanted to spread the message that "the blood that happened on [Sept. 11] is on the hands of the U.S. government." ...
I'm sick of America getting a bad rap from miserable "artists" like Boots Riley. He belongs in a capitalism-free cave in Tora Bora, spewing his "poetry" around an al Qaeda campfire. But I'm even sicker of Riley's cultural defenders in the eilte media. Sept. 11 brought home the lesson that vile ideas have bloody consequences - no matter how "daggone funky" they may sound to mush-headed music critics. We continue to ignore the intellectual enablers of anti-Americanism at our peril.

In this interview, musician Boots Riley claims that he came up with the idea for the cover with his photographer, and that any resemblance to actual events of 911 was purely coincidental. Taking Riley at his word, I guess I'd want to interview his photographer too. That is, if I were an investigative reporter.

Now I'm really freaking out. I never listened to Revolution 9 before, forwards or backwards. It makes a lot more sense backwards! Even though I'm not sure I hear every single word in this transcript.
Waterworld (1995) is just full of symbolism: triangles + eyes in nearly every scene - often with the sun! There's also freemason's hats. There's allusions to breaking through the flat earth dome as a cause of the flooding - claimed to be an accident - brought about by the elite who are in control of the water build up. There's even little jokes about the edge of the flat earth, i.e. the impenetrable barrier ala Truman show. There's chemtrails too; context seems to be spreading them around the north pole, i.e. around the whole of the flat earth. It's hinted that the elite will escape to an area southeast of the north-pole, i.e. Kazakhstan/near mount Everest (based on a Chinese tattoo on a girl's back and other evidence). Incidentally, the flag for Kazakhstan is a sun and eagle. There's a Chinese element to it as well, but I can't figure it out. There's very clear allusions to the martial law, gas masks, smoke, black death plague - finishing with a nuclear attack (on Washington). There could be a Ukrainian/Russian element, but not sure yet. There's signs everywhere saying SMEAT, i.e. smoked out by the pandemic before stockpiling lots of food to survive the floods. There's hints about the death of trees and also the end of computer chips and music, i.e. a wooden piano relic. The date for the floods appears to be 2024 - but I'm only halfway through this film so far.

I just finished watching Geostorm (2017), but there's really not much to go on other than "they will use the virus to control the storms"? There could be different kinds of weather phenomena taking place besides the flooding such as extreme ice and fire conditions? They show Dubai getting flooded, but I would have thought that city would be getting spared. Unable to really spot any symbolism other than a flat earth dome made up of a network of satellites in triangle formations. There's a scene that's reminiscent of 911 jumpers being forcefully evacuated due to an energy field. The devastation in Hong Kong is reminiscent of the Tianjin event, which we know was the elite showing off their technology as per NYE fireworks in Dubai that time with the burning tower. Will Brazil and Japan really be the first to feel the extreme weather? The Geostorm map looks pretty similar to the one I posted on page 1:

The Mist (2007) is such a great movie for demonstrating the kinds of problems we face with this whole forum topic: trying to convince people to check out the 200+ 9/11 movies and understanding the genocide we will face in less than a handful of years time. The main problems I have with human behaviour that stops me from socialising is expressed perfectly in The Mist! This movie suggests that the first signs of the storms will coincide with the mist - equating to a plague with a military presence; the stockpiling of food is in this context - possibly with the blackout too, and having to carry around knives as per the Simpsons. I believe the Geostorm movie emphasised 2024 for the real flooding to take place, but for the initial events The Mist is hinting for sure, at 2023.

Enemy of the State + The Siege: can't really detect much in these movies other than everyone being spied on through ever increasing and sophisticated surveillance technology.
Alien Covenant (2017): seen this twice already, but still need to go back and have a closer look. The aliens represent the plague/virus that enters through the throat (and possibly the ears) causing horrific deaths. There appears to be some background info to the virus hinted at through insects. More support for storms, including hurricanes, beginning same time as the plague. Death of trees is emphasised heavily again, and the wheat crop is exaggerated. Also, a military response aspect. There are clear symbols that the Vatican are behind it - also that the nuclear attack will be on Washington. There are some famous USA statues that I need to analyse. Also, there appears to be the Georgia guide stones visible above the scene that represents the nuclear attack! Again, need to come back to this. Quite complex film - benefited no doubt from watching the prequels, such Prometheus.

I can now also add some additional info: here is more support that the nuclear attack is the trigger of not only the blackout (EMP), but also the death of trees. However, it could be argued that the plague is the trigger for the death of trees, but not the blackout. The key finding in this film is also that the nuclear attack will be blamed on North Korea! This film also supports the idea that the flooding will be gradual and come into full effect by the 2040s. I still can't figure out what exactly is going to be the initial trigger on June 10th 2021 - but it's linked to the trees more than anything. Again, I would expect most things to happen in 2023, but we need to be prepared a few years before at least.

Correction: The Siege does at least feature the forthcoming martial law, and has pretty good mock-ups of concentration camps with barbed wire fences and a watchtower (the vehicle in the top-left corner almost looked like a train - all in the same shot!). They refer to them as "refugee camps". In terms of torture, there are allusions to electric shocks and gas chambers. There's also mention of the Jews. It's stated that this is the "Endgame". Lot's of innocent people are going to get rounded up and all kinds of businesses are going to cease operating. Torture will be both inside and outside the camps, including in people's homes and basements. There could well be a refugee, Muslim and terrorist attack element to the martial law, and it was shown in the Simpsons that USA is meant to be under Sharia law at some point during the events covered in this topic. The most interesting finding is that the immigrants get referred to as "animals" as per Donald Trump's recent speech. Despite all this there was no clear reference to the plague, virus or storms being a trigger in this particular movie, so they obviously were focusing only on specific aspects based around martial law, terrorism and Muslims. And the date on a car number plate was 23!

Perhaps the most common theme running through these movies is that the human activities detailed are driven by some kind of global cataclysm, of which derives the apocalyptic term "Judgement Day" (aka Doomsday), when God or his minions will determine who's naughty or nice. In the Christian version, the (Hebrew) Elect get a free pass to ride out the fearsome Tribulation.
I've been reading a book called The Mysteries of the Great Cross of Hendaye, which, among other things, compares the world's religions and prior mythologies demonstrating that the underlying theme, like today's movies, is just such a concern about this "Judgement Day".
The book's authors, writing in 1999, thought that Judgement Day would arrive in a 20 year time window centered about September 2002. The end of this window is right before the end of the Mayan calendar cycle in December 2012. Obviously, they missed the boat, so to speak, as most everyone has done before. They based this twenty year window on the appearance of two 'X' letters upon the cross of Hendaye, which they took for representing Roman numeral 10's. But, maybe they were supposed to interpret the two X's as using 2002 as the start of the twenty year window, thus moving closer to your focus on 2023 in the movies?
Besides the focus on such an cosmic derived catastrophe being a common them, it is also apparent that, when interpreting the cryptic elements of such mythology, and such as the Book of Revelation, that this is all centered around the phenomenon of Precession of the Equinoxes. At the time the NT was written, this 'zodiacal' focus was considered the cutting edge science of the day, especially if you were of the elites.
The book's authors attempt to find the real science behind all of this, and focus in on scientist Paul LaViolette's research. PV claims that there is evidence that every approximately 26,000 years, the time of the zodiacal Great Year, that the Earth gets hit by a cosmic witch's brew emanating from the center of the Milky Way. Why? Because the center of every galaxy does the same on a cyclical basis, according to PV.
If this is indeed the case, then might we expect the cosmic storm every 26,000 years? The problem with the book, is that they discuss the such last cosmic event to have happened about 13,000 years ago, one half zodiacal cycle away in time. Left unexplained is why we should feel the cosmic storm twice per cycle, other than that we Earthlings are supposed to have "crossed" the galactic ecliptic during December 2012.
So, we are left with a question as to whether we are really waiting for such as repetition in yet another ~13,000 years, or the event back then is asynchronous to our precessional wobble? Since it is apparent that the Earthy religions are indeed focused on such happenings, and that it is the elites of such religions, might all these human events being played out on Earth be some perverse attempt to make happen on Earth what is not going to happen in Heaven (at least for another ~13,000 years). And if such elites (the Elect), are wrong, for whatever reason, they still get to profit along the way.
As I have discussed before, 1000 years after the start of the Jewish War in 67 CE, the Norman Conquest started (in 1066 actually). It was over effectively in 3.5 years (like 1,000 years earlier) and was memorialized by a document known as the Domesday Book, for Doomsday. But the world and time went ticking on.
Inside most Western courtrooms can be seen squares divided by 8 rays emanating from the middle of each. This is an old solar symbol, known in some contexts as the 'star of Anu'. It is a symbol of 'judgement'. But what is the connection to the Sun? In the scenario of the book, and that claimed by PV, it is the Sun which will flare when affected by the cyclic cosmic duststorms coming our way every ~26,000 years. Such as this are reflected in the symbology of dragons.
And as well, the timing of such reflected by the symbol of the Cross. Both the Crosses of St. Andrew and St. George (when merged giving us the Union Jack) apply to these cosmic aspects, such as the wobble tilt of the Earth, symbolizing the crossing of the ecliptics (sic). The Golden Gate (also known by the Egyptians before) which the solar Christ enters through, "As on Earth as it is in Heaven". This Christ comes and cleanses the Earth of evil-doers (including those who 'merely' don't accept Christ) leaving only the Elect and the lesser so who had to muck out the years of Tribulation. The sky is falling, head for the hills (and find a good cave), it's Judgement Day. Thank You Jesus.

2008 Doomsday: This is really the perfect movie covering all aspects discussed in this topic!!! OK, where to begin? Firstly, "2023" is discussed openly in the movie with London said to be affected in "2035" - but there was a possible veiled reference to 2021. Anyway, a super-flu virus is the trigger for martial law in Scotland, and a new wall is built across the line of Hadrian's Wall to quarantine Scotland as a no-fly zone for 3 years. The bodies are also piling up in London - in particular Whitechapel and the East End - but the people are pretty much left to their own devices. Of course there are compounds and barbed wire fences featured. Some deliberate flooding from the Thames and canals are suggested to form a square reservoir, for some reason, to do with quarantining. There is emphasis on an eyeball throughout the first 15 minutes of the movie and a big lie/conspiracy that has been told to the public! As soon as Scotland sets the stage for the virus, emphasis is then shifted heavily to a ship on water, severe rain and storms in nearly every scene - as tanks scout around - with mention of storms, hurricanes, dwindling power and food supplies! The purpose of the new Hadrian's Wall is cannibalism - sound familiar!? And that's just from the first quarter of the movie!!

I think it said that in 2023, they built their system of dykes in London to prevent flooding. Now (2035?) they're going to use it instead to cause a flood. But for sure, you're right that 2023 is portrayed as a significant year.
